About

First there was
a bar.
Everything else
came after.

October 2013. In the beginning this was closer to a beer shop than a bar: you walked in, picked something out of the cold, and drank it there or took it home. Everything that came later grew out of trying to keep that fridge full.

  1. 2013

    We opened

The company was incorporated in August. The bar opened in October, in Evaristo Morales, and it is still there. The idea was not a bar with a beer list. It was a fridge full of things you could not get here, and people left alone to choose.

  2. 2014

    We started importing

To keep in the fridge what we wanted in the fridge, we had to bring it in ourselves. At first it was only to supply our own bar.

  3. 2015

    Importing became its own business

What began as supplying one bar ended up a distribution operation with its own structure, its own accounts and its own people.

  4. 2017

We had a place in the Colonial Zone

It closed, but we took a lot away from it: that is where we learned what works and what does not. That is the base we still franchise from today.

  5. 2024

We opened the first franchise in-house

Arroyo Hondo is a franchise, and it is run by Giancarlo, a partner in the business, and his wife, Mariely. It holds the same rating as ours. It was our way of testing the format before offering it to someone outside.

How it works

The beer you are looking for is on the menu.

You look up whatever you are curious about and order it right there.

What is inside

We import twelve brands. The bar carries far more.

We bring twelve brands into the country and distribute them. But the bar list is not our catalogue: we buy from anyone making something worth drinking, whether we represent them or not. That is why it is sorted by country of origin instead of by brand.

Why people come

For the beer, most of the time. Also for the fritos con salami, for the game on the screen, and because someone told them there is something here they have not tried. Those are the customers’ words, not ours.
